FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & INFORMATION

Do you have soaps for specific skin types (dry, oily, acne-prone)?

Yes, email us so we can discuss your individual needs. We strive to exceed expectations!

Is your product natural?

Elevate your skincare routine with handcrafted bar soaps, blended with essential oils and plant-based fragrance oils.

Our soap products all begin with a combination of sustainable palm oil, coconut oil, nourishing green olive oil, castor oil, sodium hydroxide, and distilled water.

What are your soap made from?

As close to natural as it gets would be potassium hydroxide made from hard wood ash, plantain leaves, coconut shell ashes and then have water filter through it to make a caustic liquid. After that you would choose your fats and oils to melt down and add your potassium hydroxide to it. Since this is potassium hydroxide and not sodium hydroxide, you will be left with a much softer bar that looks more brown. Sodium hydroxide that is lab created will give you a hard bar and be more white, cream or beige depending on the Ingredients and before fragrance/essential oils or colorant.

Is natural handmade soap is better than mainstream commercial soap for your body?

Generally, natural handmade soap is considered better than mainstream commercial soaps because it often contains fewer harsh chemicals, synthetic additives, and preservatives, making it potentially gentler on the skin and more environmentally friendly; however, the quality of both can vary depending on the specific ingredients used in each product.

Key points about natural handmade soap:

    • Less harsh chemicals:

Commercial soaps often include ingredients like sodium laurel sulfate (SLS) which can irritate sensitive skin, while handmade soaps typically use gentler cleansing agents.

    • Higher quality ingredients:

Handmade soaps often use natural oils like coconut oil, olive oil, and shea butter, which can be more moisturizing and nourishing for the skin.

    • Customizable:

You can choose specific ingredients based on your skin type, like essential oils for aromatherapy or clays for exfoliation.

    • Environmental benefits:

Many handmade soaps are made with biodegradable ingredients and less packaging, reducing environmental impact.

Important considerations:

      • Not all handmade soaps are equal:

Always check the ingredient list to ensure a handmade soap is truly natural and free of harmful chemicals.

      • Potential for skin irritation:

Even natural ingredients can irritate sensitive skin, so it’s important to patch test before full use.

      • Cost:
Handmade soap is often more expensive than commercial soap due to the higher quality ingredients and smaller production batches
